The gradebook
The gradebook feature for teachers makes the heaviest use of AJAX, allowing autosaving of each field/score as it is entered. Such AJAX implementations have also carried over to the rest of Aspen, though, allowing autocompletion of fields, autosaving of scheduling information, interactive warning dialogs/prompts, etc. This also enhances speed, preventing the need for a full screen refresh every time a value is changed.
