The new robot ITR, from Japanese robotics venture Speecys, is a kind of humanoid Internet kiosk--it's designed to download online content such as news, quizzes and commercial programming. Seen here in the company of Speecys CEO Tomoaki Kasuga, the 3-pound, 1-foot-high gadget is expected to become available to developers in May, priced at 500,000 yen ($4,200), and to consumers in September, priced at 190,000 yen ($1,600). It was unveiled in Tokyo on Monday.
