While the Colorado River is largely responsible for the Grand Canyon, it is not visible in most places at either the North Rim or the South Rim. This direct view of the majestic river--which is one of the most important waterways in the American agricultural and energy-production systems--is from Grand Canyon West, which is on Hualapai Nation lands.
