Jimmy McChristy, 17, shows off video animations he's created with Adobe AfterEffects for a four-minute film takeoff on the movie The Matrix. McChristy, a Santa Fe, N.M., high school senior, is one of thousands of kids attending iD Tech Camps on college campuses across the country this summer. But McChristy is among about 2,000 kids age 7 to 17 who are attending the tech program at Stanford University, which draws the largest number of campers.
McChristy is collaborating with seven other students in his digital video-editing class to create a film that they hope to post to YouTube next week.
