Greg Stevenson, of Greg Stevenson Engineering, talks about an assortment of prototype diesel engines he's designed and built for aircraft. And at least one of his multifuel engines, which can run on biodiesel, lamp oil or other renewable fuels, are now being used by the military.
He said his proprietary engine design can fly at two or three times the speed of a commercial diesel engine, running any renewable fuels. Stevenson said he plans to fly a small plane in next year's PAV Challenge that uses his own engine.
