SuperHappyDevHouse participant Paul Charlton (shown here), a chief technical officer at ByIQ in Palo Alto, Calif., calls himself a tech guru.

SuperHappyDevHouse was launched about two years ago by Web developer Jeff Lindsay, 21, who was inspired by the LAN party concept. He was joined by David Weekly--whose PBwiki start-up was born at a SuperHappyDevHouse session--as well as Harrison and Joel Franusic. Holding the sessions at someone's home instead of an office building, they felt, would make them more intimate and, as a result, more productive.
