This is the hangar-like interior and workshop of the building associated with the Submillimeter Array. A supercomputer in the adjoining room processes data from the array. Scientists can request time on the array by submitting a proposal online. Short observations called "filler" projects are easier to schedule. After the observation is complete, the resulting data are available through a Harvard Web site.
