U.K.-based D3o Labs has developed a polymer-based material that is flexible to wear but strong enough to withstand a beating...literally. The wearer in this Spider-Man-style suit could drop to his knees or take a blow from a shovel to the stomach without feeling the pain. That's because the material steels up on impact. The polymer, which looks like Silly Putty in raw form, complements a whole line of D30's wearable garb, including motorcycle gloves and soccer shin guards. The company hopes to start selling it to police departments and the military.
