Superjet 100 unveiled
Military aviation buffs have long been familiar with the name Sukhoi--the Russian company has been building fighter jets for decades. Now the aircraft maker is branching out into the civilian sector with its first-ever commercial passenger plane, the Superjet 100.

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft unveiled the medium-range Superjet 100 on Wednesday at its Komsomolk-on-Amur plant to an audience of both factory workers and foreign investors.
