This is a small model of the Verdi Landscaping System, which sprung out of talks on how to improve Chicago's green initiatives. Created by Chicago-based Insight Product Development, the design is for a sustainable self-irrigating lawn system for urban environments (read: people who want a green rooftop in the city.) It's a modular system, so it includes things like solar-powered lighting tiles and shrub planters so consumers can easily assemble their own green lawn.
