Four Rolls Royce Trent 900 engines, each with 72,000 pounds of thrust, get the "Big Bertha" off the ground.

According to Airbus, the A380 sets "new environmental benchmarks in air-transport [with] unmatched fuel efficiency of less than three liters per passenger per 100 kilometers."

Dreamliner 787 direct competition???
The Dreamliner is not direct competition, the closest competition is the 747 and the new version which is slightly extended. Other than that there is no direct competition, just because two planes wer... (Read the rest)
