HangerNetwork is trying to replace wire hanger at dry cleaners with cardboard ones with ads on them. Made from biodegradeable cardboard, the hangers are more eco friendly than regular hangers and they save cleaners money because they are free. And when you put on a shirt in the morning you get a friendly reminder to use deodorant or eat more donuts.
Consumers may balk at this intrusion into a personal space, but they won't have to scream "No wire hangers!" like Joan Crawford anymore when they get caught in a tangle in their closet and it's an easier way to subsidize a green concept than imposing regulations.
