Red Ferrari 430 Scuderia

Two press preview days at the 2007 LA Auto Show have revealed fast machines to excite your inner McQueen, green-minded concepts, new models to make your checkbook sing, and hybrid additions to ease the guilt of driving an SUV or pick-up.

The following are must-see items from the show, which opens to the public today and runs through November 25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Ferrari's 430 Scuderia, which was unveiled at the Frankfurt auto show in September by Ferrari Formula 1 star Michael Schumacher, is gracing the Los Angeles show floor. The car contains Formula 1 technology and is part of Ferrari's 8-cylinder model range of cars that include the F430 and F430 Spider. The car's engine makes 510 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and has a top speed of 198 mph. It can go from 0 to 63 mph in 3.6 seconds and from 0 to 124 mph in about 11.6 seconds.
