The Shorne Wood Visitor Center, which opened in 2006, is located in the 288-acre Shorne Wood Country Park in Kent that includes preserved woodlands, meadows, and wetlands.
It's an example of the kind of environmental construction people can expect to see in the Thames Gateway project. The building uses wind and solar power, recycled rainwater, and bio-mass heating.
