Marines in Iraq
These GIs aren't going to jump out of the C-130 they're riding in. Rather, these Marines have just landed at Baghdad International Airport for a tour of duty in early 2005. While most pilots (and passengers) would probably prefer to go in and out of well-groomed, full-size airfields, the C-130 is famous for its ability to land on and take off from crude--and short--airstrips in sometimes inauspicious terrain.

C-130 = Super Spooky?
IIRC, before the end of the Vietnam fiasco the C-130 gunships were flying although they weren't nearly as potent or as accurate as what flies today. This would have been in the '68 period. The old AC-... (Read the rest)
