Firefighting C-130
A common noncombat mission for C-130 aircraft is firefighting. Here, a Hercules from Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., drops water during a training exercise over New Mexico in May 2007. Each plane can drop up to 3,000 gallons of retardant on an area that measures a quarter-mile long by 60 feet wide.

C-130 = Super Spooky?
IIRC, before the end of the Vietnam fiasco the C-130 gunships were flying although they weren't nearly as potent or as accurate as what flies today. This would have been in the '68 period. The old AC-... (Read the rest)
