Also at CES, solar bag maker Voltaic Systems announced that it will be releasing a $599 laptop bag with an integrated 14-watt solar panel, a significant increase from its current 4-watt bags.
The bags come with a lithium-ion battery inside them and adapters for different devices. At 14 watts, the bags will charge up your laptop or other devices in a few hours. But a panel that size is not quite powerful enough to run a laptop directly, according to retailers.

- i think these are all great but i need something powerful enough to hold 2 aircons powered by solar panels only for home use. Is there something that is safe, cost-effective and powerful enough to hold big appliances?... (Read the rest)
