Ugobe's Pleo, shown here, is just the first "life form" from Ugobe. It has the ability to respond to many different forms of input from people, including scratching and petting, and it reacts with various forms of emotion to the inputs. It screams when held awkwardly and purrs when cuddled. It also has sensors that allow it to avoid walking off edges, and it evolves its behaviors over time. Further, users will be able to program their Pleos with new behaviors and upload those behaviors to a community Web site.
