In one corner of Google's D.C. office, just beyond the cubicle pods, is a room called the Hideaway, where employees can congregate for "informal meetings," as Google puts it. Inside, you'll find an L-shaped sofa studded with bright-hued pillows, a bookshelf containing everything from congressional directories to Pirateology: The Pirate Hunter's Companion, a television, and, of course, tubs of Legos perched on a round table with four chairs.
