1975 F-150
The F-150 joined the Ford lineup in the 1975 model year, making its debut in August 1974. The caption on this press photo notes that the half-ton truck could run on either leaded or unleaded gas--welcome to the pre-biodiesel era.

The new 2009 edition of the F-150 offers V-8 engines ranging from a 4.6-liter version to a 5.4-liter block capable of running on E85, an ethanol blend, and either a four-speed or a six-speed automatic transmission.
