Volvo's display of seven carbon-neutral Mack trucks took up an entire row of the WIREC 2008 show floor. The hybrid Mack dump truck can save between 25 percent and 30 percent on fuel costs. The company's goal is to cut energy consumption 50 percent per each truck by 2010 compared to 2003 levels, said Jan-Eric Sundgren, Senior Vice President, Environment and Public Affairs of Volvo in a presentation.
