The Transit Connect offers a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine and automatic transmission, and gets an estimated 19 miles per gallon in city driving. It pollutes less, too, Ford says, with "nearly 90 percent lower tailpipe emissions than many of today's traditional taxis." The taxi can accommodate three rear-cab passengers and 75 cubic feet of parcels.
