The $250 handheld Raycop vacuum is designed to banish dust mites from bedsheets, upholstery, and curtains, helping to alleviate allergies. UV-C light is said to sterilize the microscopic critters, while vibrations help unhook them from fabric. Filters need to be emptied monthly with regular use. British maker Earlex aims to sell the vacuum this year in big box stores.
