This second image was taken from about 3,800 miles from Phobos by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.
"The HiRISE images are higher quality, making the new data some of the best ever for Phobos," said Nathan Bridges, HiRISE team member at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
