At the Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, Calif., there's a tradition of doing a teardown, or a dismantling, of one of the latest cutting-edge gadgets. While Tuesday's teardown was scheduled to open up Sony's OLED TV, travel difficulties prevented the set from making it to San Jose. Instead, David Carey, a self-professed "teardown geek" and president of teardown service Portelligent, manhandled Gibson's Robot Guitar, which was formally introduced at this year's Consumer Electronics Show.
