Strings of guitar
The strings of the guitar are like normal guitar strings--in fact, much of the Robot Guitar is a standard Les Paul guitar from Gibson. The "robot" part of the name refers to the guitar being a self-tuning instrument. "It's not a robot," Carey noted. "Electro-mechanics join with embedded processing to achieve an automatically tuning electric guitar. It's one of the best examples of an embedded system I've seen in a long time."
