Output from Atari 2600 is your basic radio frequency signal
The output from the Atari 2600 is your basic radio frequency signal carried along a wire via RCA connections. The tuning is set for channel 3 on a standard television. Apparently, that channel can be fine-tuned, perhaps even changed to a different channel. In later models, Atari allowed the user to choose between channel 3 or 4.

My 2600 is in the loft still, with emulation it kind of makes it easier to play old games without having to make hundreds of connections to the TV.... (Read the rest)
