The Jeep Bluetec Grand Cherokee features clean-diesel technology developed by DaimlerChrysler. It comes with an oxidizing catalytic converter, a diesel particulate filter and elective catalytic reduction technology, which is an exhaust treatment system. It adds ammonia to the catlylitic converter to convert nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water vapor.
