Launch bay top no missile
Though the Nike missile site in the Marin Headlands is no more than a museum operated by the National Park Service today, some of its systems are still functional. Among them is one of the missile bays, which contains about six Nike Hercules missiles underground. The bay doors can be opened and closed, and one of the missiles can still be raised above ground on an elevator system. Here, it is possible to see the open doors, but not the missile.
