Another company taking a small and modular approach to utilty-scale solar is Sopogy. It's making a "micro-CSP" solar trough that can be used to heat or cool buildings as well as make electricity in small-scale power plants.

- I think the cost of oil has forced a realization among the politicians in the SouthWest states.
