At the Louisville Slugger factory, bats for different levels of the game are made using different processes and by different people. Danny Luckett makes the bats for major leaguers using a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, but he and others used to do it with a specialized lathe. Here, Luckett weighs a new bat to be sure it's up to specification.
