This is the Mission Control room for the International Space Station. It is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. On the big monitors at the front of the room, it is possible to see several views: one of Earth from the space station; an external view of the station; a map showing the orbits of the station; and an internal view.
This room was first used for the Apollo missions in the 1960s, though only through Apollo 7.
