Unknown Microchip Technology chip

Unknown Microchip Technology chip
From this chip's logo, I believe it was manufactured by Microchip Technology. Unfortunately, I've been unable to identify the specific chip, despite having searched Microchip's extensive list of chip datasheets. As with the Spansion S29AL004D, someone has written accross this chip with a dark marker obsuring the markings. If are able to indentify this chip, post a comment in this gallery's discussion.
