HP Pavilion dv3510nr

HP Pavilion dv3510nr

Editors' rating: 4

The good: Outstanding feature set includes Centrino 2 platform, backlit keyboard and media control keys, fingerprint reader, remote control, and HDMI and eSATA ports; great application performance and fair 3D performance; highly portable but still makes room for full-size keyboard; great battery life without needed bulky, extended-cell unit; LED-backlit display is crisp and bright and incredibly thin; two-year warranty.

The bad: No FireWire; glossy touchpad doesn't provide best feel.

The bottom line: Best Buy listened to its customers and then teamed up with HP to create the Pavilion dv3510nr, one of the big box store's first Blue Label laptops. This sleek, yet loaded, 13-inch laptop deserves a blue ribbon, too, for its all-around excellence and value.
