Aerovironment already has wind turbines deployed at sites in the U.S. An array of these small turbines are installed at Boston Logan International Airport as well as a handful of other large buildings. The turbines are well suited to work with the inconsistent, gusty wind that comes up the sides of buildings. The turbines have an optional screen to guard against wind or bat collisions.
