When Mercedes-Benz launched its updated S-class as a 2007 model, it showed off some astounding new tech, including night vision and adaptive cruise control that can bring the car to a full stop. Two years later, not many automakers have caught up with this kind of tech, although Mercedes-Benz hasn't quite caught up in the areas of iPod integration and Bluetooth phone support.
