Photos: Speed cameras vex U.K. drivers

If you get caught speeding in the U.S., chances are good there was a state trooper standing on the side of the road wielding a radar gun. In the U.K., much of the work of detection is done by self-activated devices known as "speed cameras." Some British drivers are so put off by the cameras--incensed at having been caught, upset that the police aren't focusing on more serious criminal matters or wary of any form of government surveillance--that they've taken arms against them. Speed cameras have been covered by bags, knocked to the ground or even blown up.
