Legoland Amusement Park
Billund isn't just the corporate headquarters for the toymaker. It's also the site of a Legoland amusement park. (Other Legolands are in Windsor, England; Gunzberg, Germany; and Carlsbad, California.) The family-friendly parks feature rides, miniature cities and building zones for children.

In the last two years, faced with new economic realities, the company sold off its Legoland parks to Merlin Entertainments and closed production facilities in Korea and Switzerland. Revenue has dropped from 9.6 billion krone in 2002 to 7 billion krone last year. In 2005, Lego Group had 505 million krone in profit, following two years of substantial losses.
