Hummer O2 - flaps up
GM calls the Hummer O2 "the first time a vehicle has been designed to give back to the environment." (Unlike the actual cars around you, many of which seem to have been designed to stick it to the environment.)

In this sci-fi vision, the body panels of the vehicle are filled with algae that, like any good plant-based life form, take in carbon dioxide and emit oxygen. Carbon dioxide, of course, is a principal villain in the ongoing saga of global warming. And that's not where the giving stops: "Used algae are recycled as biomass for the further production of energy," Frank Saucedo, director of GM Advanced Design, said in a statement.
