McDonald's got burned--or shall we say, fried--by a promotional contest late last year in which MP3 players given away as prizes were loaded with malware. The players came bundled with 10 songs and a variant of the QQPass trojan, configured to steal user passwords, according to
Contestants had to peel a sticker off a drink (shown here), revealing a code which they then entered on the McDonald's Web site to see whether they had won, Vnunet.com said.
