But not every science toy is high-tech: Uncle Milton's Toys still makes its original ant farms (pictured here), though for the toy's 50th anniversary, the company introduced an updated version that uses bluish gel instead of sand for the ants to dig around in. The gel supplies all the food and nutrients the ants need, so kids no longer have to feed their pet ants. But isn't the whole point to care of them and feed them leaves?
