Photos: The best costumes at NYC ComicCon

At the New York City Comic Convention, enthusiastic volunteers showed up in full costume to pose for photographs with convention-goers. By far, the majority of the volunteers were clad in Star Wars gear, as these six are. The costumes were quite elaborate; the Darth Vader outfit came with a voice amplification device to emulate the classic villain's characteristic breathing and vocal sounds. Kids, however, didn't seem particularly scared, as a number ran up to hug "Darth" as though he were a Disney mascot.
