Fujitsu's radio frequency identification tags are flexible and waterproof, so they can be ironed into clothing and bed linens, and run through the wash. Fujitsu developed the technology in its labs as a way for hospitals and hotels to monitor the heavy loads of laundry they do each day. Tracking wash cycles, says Fujitsu, helps increase efficiency and saves money.
