Many state and local governments are on the cutting edge when it comes to alternative fuel, and many are participating in pilot programs for hydrogen. Both the city of Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Valley Water District's Springs Preserve (shown here) have adopted hydrogen fuel as one of its alternative energy sources for vehicles.
