The interior of the Impala had to be retrofitted a bit to accommodate the new transmission, but it still seats four people. The idea to race a biodiesel car against a sports car came from Imperium Renewables, a biodiesel refiner. The company wants to show that greener cars don't necessarily entail performance sacrifices.
