Photos: Tenebraex tech for color blindness, night vision

Boston-based company Tenebraex has captured attention for its technology that brings a range of colors to monochromatic night vision goggles. (More on that shortly.) In addition, its EyePilot software can help color-blind people see things in color-rich applications they couldn't see before.

Tenebraex is in talks with phone manufacturers to put EyePilot on cell phones that can work in conjunction with a phone's camera to identify real-life colors. Anyone with a color deficiency could just point and click to find out if what looks like a green necktie, say, is truly green. It would also offer a discreet way for color-blind people to read things like color-coded subway or bus maps while on the go.
