Turbine helicopter
Remote-controlled helicopters have been used for a while in Hollywood, but now Gary Travis, a sales representative with Bergen R/C Helicopters, says newcasters and film directors can get their hands on a jet-powered helicopter. Travis said he has created the first remote-controlled helicopter designed for aerial photography that is powered by a turbine engine.

Why does anyone need a jet-powered, remote-controlled helicopter? High-definition cameras can pick up the subtle vibration created by pistons pounding inside a combustion engine. Most gas-powered engines don't even have the horsepower to get off the ground carrying a high-definition video camera, said Travis, whose ship runs on jet fuel). His bird has 8-horsepower, in contrast to their 1-horsepower engines, which is good enough for one of those "palm cams," he said.
