Photos: Chevy Volt gains fuel cell

In this picture, the cutaway view in front shows the first Volt system, and the chassis in the rear holds the hydrogen fuel cell components. In its original format, the Volt is a battery electric vehicle with 40 miles of all-electric range; a small biofuel engine with a generator can extend the range to 640 miles, GM says.
