Manufactured June 1990
This IIP, the subject of this Crack It Open gallery, was manufactured in June 1990. Seventeen years later it still worked, if only to produce four pages per minute.

- I had the honor of completely disassembling a toasted HP LJ III, and saved the scanner/laser assembly as a desk paperweight. It is a marvel of engineering and a reminder of what a company can do when it "maxes" its resources!... (Read the rest)
