One hundred percent of the diesel-engine vehicles operated by Norcal Recycling/Waste Management, like this garbage truck, run on biodiesel. At a press conference at the opening of the biofuel station in San Francisco, Mayor Gavin Newsom announced that 39 percent of the city's vehicles have been converted to use biodiesel, on track for a 100 percent conversion by the end of the year.
